Well, in August we decided we were officially moving to California. My in-laws are generous and invited us to live with them to save money for PA school. At this time, I did not have a job in Utah and the department Kyle worked for in the clinic is going to be sold to the hospital sometime this year. Also, Kyle had all the clinical hours he needed to apply to PA school. We prayed and went to the temple about it for several months and felt like moving to California will work out. We chose to move in September because Kyle's parents were in Utah for a week and could help us move. We packed the apartment and fit our cars to the brims. We left a couple of boxes and furniture with family in Utah because we couldn't fit everything, but we were really close. We will also go to Utah to visit and my family will come to visit Cali, so we'll get the boxes later. We are now moved into what used to be the office in my in-laws' house. It is a big room and has a bathroom attached. Luckily, my in-laws were supportive in letting us make our room feel like "home". So far, I feel that Kyle and I are feeling comfortable here. It still feels like we are on a very extended vacation.
We are working hard to find jobs. I have applied to a couple and had an interview two weeks ago with the school district, but have not heard anything back yet. However, during the interview, I had the impression that they were not going to be quick in making decisions. Kyle got a call on Wednesday from a "recruiter" that works for a company that owns nursing homes. He spoke with Kyle about doing an A.I.T. (Administrator in Training) program. The "recruiter" stated he was calling as a favor to the CEO. This is because Kyle worked with a nurse, Marie, at the clinic, her son is friends with the CEO of the nursing homes. Marie, kindly, sent Kyle's resume and a letter of recommendation to the CEO. So, we assume, the CEO got it and had the "recruiter" call Kyle, which I think is good news. The A.I.T. program would certify Kyle to work in Administration in healthcare. The program requires 1000 hours, paid work in order to take the certification tests, and could take 4-6 months to complete. Kyle is interested in this because he wants to learn the administrative side and use it as a PA. He feels that he has seen too many doctors be taken advantage of by administration and it causes problems. The "recruiter" said they are not taking new program members yet because they have to place the people finishing the program first. However, the "recruiter" said he could be given the ok to add new members in a week, a month, or 6 months. So, we don't really know when this would happen and if it will happen. Hopefully, Kyle is on the top of the list to be contacted when they do, because this could be a great opportunity! Kyle is also thinking he is going to go shadow more administrators just in case. Kyle shadowed them once and really enjoyed it. He would like to learn more.

However, we look forward to days that are good and keep on. We both have felt confirmation that we are where we are supposed to be and something will happen soon.
