My mom had permits to hike Half Dome in Yosemite. The permits were for a specific day in August. It was not the most pleasant trip or hike. The hike is steep and the terrain is tough. However, we did 16-17 miles round trip in one day. It took us 13 hours since we started and got back to the car. It was a long day and it hurt so so so much coming down. I was cried the whole way down because my feet hurt so badly. Well, we can say we did it and most certainly will never be doing it again. Also, the roads were too windy for my family, they all got car sick every time we went to the park or drove around anywhere. It was unfortunate. We stayed at Bass Lake and that was pretty! I wish we could have gone and played on the lake. I asked like 5 times, but no one wanted to. It was a pretty view and we got to try some new restaurants around town. It is a trip we will always remember, hopefully we'll be able to laugh about it more one day.
