Wedding Week #1

Back at the first week of May, Kyle and I left for San Diego to be married on May 11.
We left a week early because Kyle's birthday was on the 4th of May and he wanted to be home this year for it.
So we arrived on Thursday and his birthday would be the next day on Friday.

Kyle's Birthday was full of festivities.
We went to the Wild Safari Animal Park because his mom and grandma have free passes.

This bird looks like a statue!

Kyle was pretending to feed the duck, and the duck really thought he had food when he would cup his hand. haha, too many people feed those ducks!

Tram ride around the park!

Cheetah!

The rhino looks like a boulder! Way to blend in with their surroundings.

Endangered north rhino, only 8 left in the world and they have 2 of them!

Zebra's are really black with white stripes!

2 week old baby giraffe is already over 6 feet tall!
That's a big baby!

The Lion was so close to us! it's paw's are pushing against the glass!
 Lion's sleep 21 hours a day! That's the life.

This gecko was just upside down hanging out. Literally.

We had all been there before, so we got there around 10 and stayed until like 12:30.
Then Kyle wanted his birthday lunch at yummy Los Charros. His favorite Mexican food.
After lunch, he planned to go golfing with his dad and brother a few hours later.
So while they had their guy time, Trudy (Kyle's Mom) and I decorated the house with birthday decorations so he would be surprised when he came home.
And we watched American Idol cause decorating didn't take that long.

By the time Kyle made it home with his brother and dad, everyone was there or on their way over for his birthday dinner and cake and presents.
Kyle chose baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans.
(have to remember this one)

Kyle's sister, Michelle, is awesome at cake making and decorating, so she made him a cookie's 'n cream ice cream cake with chocolate gnash (sp?) and oreos on top!
(Kyle's favorite also)
Sadly, didn't get a picture, because we all ate it up so fast! It was very yummy and huge!

Kyle lucked out in presents because he asked for the Planet Earth, Blue Planet, Frozen Planet, and Life series discs for his birthday!
And between his mom and I, he got them ALL besides Blue planet!
Needless to say, he was very happy.
I also got him a wallet and a couple of t-shirts. And he got some new shorts and shoes and board shorts from family as well.
Pretty good birthday present wise for him.

All in all I don't think Kyle thought turning 25 was that bad, he has a hard time every now and then thinking he's a quarter of a century old. haha
He's still young! Just gotta convince him he is.
