So, we initially came to Missouri for Karas' wedding, but also wanted to spend time with Dad and Roberta. We got there late Thursday night and stayed until Monday. It was a short trip, but was fun. The wedding was Saturday evening, so we did a lot of stuff in 3 days.
Friday, Dad and Roberta worked, so Kyle and I went and saw a movie, The Amazing Spiderman 2, and sat in the Awesome recliner seats at AMC! We have a gift card there with money still on it because there are no AMC's in Utah! Then we went shopping for Royals shirts, for the game we went to Friday night. We found some nice ones at Dicks. Then we went to Trader Joe's and Target. When Dad and Roberta got home, we went to a Wine Dive Restaurant that was a first for us. It was fun to try something new (No, we didn't try the wine). Their food was good. Then we went to the game, it was chilly and the Royals lost! It was a bummer, because they won all their games after that! I was glad Kyle was able to go and that he got a Royals shirt. He wears it all the time now, which makes me a proud wife.
Saturday morning, Roberta got her hair cut, so Dad took us around the Plaza. Kyle has not really seen it before, so we showed him all the fountains and the fun shopping. For lunch we went to Oklahoma Joe's. Uh, SO GOOD! Kyle said they were the best ribs he has ever had, I second that. I ate all of my half rack, which is impressive! Then we went and saw where Roberta worked. It was fun to see her office and what they do there.
Sunday we went to their kickball games. It was close both games I think, and I'm pretty sure they won! Kyle and I were good cheerleaders. It was also Dad's first time pitching, then Roberta was catcher. It was also fun to watch their team member try to catch the ball with his beer in one hand. And get mad when he spilled some. LOL. Then we went mini golfing on the Kansas side, it was a cool course. It resembled real courses, but miniature. It was challenging fun. Then we went bowling and bowled boys vs. girls. Roberta had the games of her life! Her scores were like over 200. She was crazy good! Then we played games that night at home. It was fun to give Kyle more KC experiences and for him to get to spend more time and get to know Dad and Roberta more. It is always a good time with Dad and Roberta. We're lucky to have them there.
